I don't believe that two wrongs make a right. Killing someone is barbaric--and the easy way out for them. Let them rot away in jail for the rest of their lives.

I think that certain types of people (e.g. serial killers, sex offenders, drug dealers, etc.) are absolutely worthless and that the world would be better off without them. That being said, though, I still have reservations about the death penalty. There have been a lot of people who were wrongly imprisoned and then later exonerated through DNA testing. You can always release someone from prison, but you can never reverse an execution.

The death penalty already has so many flaws. Why would we want to expand it and make it worse.

The death penatly costs more than life in prison. Much more.
The death penalty is not a deterrent.
The death penalty risks executing innocent people.
DNA evidence is available in less than 10% of all homicide cases.
The death penalty is very hard on families of murder victims.
48 states now have life without parole on the books. It means what it says.

No. But here are some alternatives to long jail terms;

Rape = nerve destruction to sexual organs.

Molestation = same as #1

Drug Dealing = forced use of product they sold in massive quantities

DUI = having to ride with cab drivers from DFW airport to every hotel they carry people to for 6 months.

i think not, only for the people who has killed other people , but i do think that drug dealers should get at least 25 years in prison with out parole,they might think twice before they do it again, i know 3 people who have sold cocaine and only did 6 years, 3 times in a row and are still doing it,,, it is sad...

no. rape and molestation should have very harsh penalties, drug dealing, on a smaller scale, shouldn't.

I think sex offenders should be slowly castrated then put to death, I really mean this...I can, in some cases, at least understand murder, and they can, at times be rehabilitated, sex offenders can not. just becasue the list is out there of where they are does not mean they won't do it again,,,they ruin lives, for ever, get a slap on the wrist and get sent back to mollest more of our kids.......oh yeah...lets hang em al by the ba***!!!
