i love a guy and i want to be best friend to him but i don't know how....he knows what i feel. and i don't want to be to insistent...i just want to be best friends.how to do it

I think the best way of becoming someone's good friend is to be there when the person needs you, and that too, without expecting anything back. Just be natural and don't try too hard. It doesn't harm to let the person know that you like him and would like to be friends with him. Respect his space, and most important, don't get desperate. Life doesn't hinge upon a single person.

Bluntness is the number one solution... you must be forceful and tell him. its either friends or he needs to back off.. its not easy.. but in the long run, its for the best..
one other solution is to introduce him to a friend of yours, that he might find attractive and see if the attention can shift.... but in the end.. you just have to suck it up and be forceful and get your point across..

it sounds to me like you want to be more that best friends, and if you want to be his friend as him to hang out, go to a place where you guys can play games and have a good time, nothing romantic at all just plain fun.
