I would say the best way is to get a toy that he really enjoys, that seems to be difficult, my dog chews everything but his toys, but we did find one that he loves it is softer than most toys. But everytime you catch your dog chewing something that he shouldn't be, stop him, a pop on the nose(not enough to hurt, but hard enough to know you mean business). Then give him the toy he should be chewing on. Being a puppy he is just going through that phase just as a human baby wants to shove everything in their mouths! But if you don't ween him he will chew everything up as he grows.

Well what i noramlly do is stupid when you think about it but i let the dog/puppy chew a little on my hand, when the dog realizes what you are doing which is pretty quick he just nibbles on your hand and backs away. Dont do the spray, it makes it worse. just for now try to keep your things that you dont want chewed away from the dog. get a good chew toy or two also, they work wonders. ^_^.

There are products at your local pet shop that you can spray on furniture, shoes, etc. that leave an unpleasant taste in the puppies mouth (but cause no actual damage).
Through this negative operant conditioning, the puppy learns to stop chewing things cause they taste horrible.

all puppy's go threw that chewing stage, try some chewing bones for puppies,or take him to pet land ,walk around with him and see what he would like to play and chew on,remember ,puppy's go threw a teething stage just like little babies do,when you find something that he likes to chew on,and in the mean time at home he decides to chew on something else but his toy, play with him with his chewing toy, like if he trys to chew try to take it away from him,,playfully,,he will get very possessive with, good luck
