hey ! there is this guy i really like, but i clam up when he calls me! even though i am pretty and smart i have a natural shyness that takes over, so how can i be more confident when he rings...what kind of things do guys like talking about (don't say sex lol) xxx

Beer, football, sorry - sex, cars, why do women all seem to fancy....?, basically nothing that requires any amount of intelligence to be used.

Don't worry about what guys talk about, just talk as you would to a male friend, I'm a guy how would you talk to me - there is no point in pretending to be into something 'cause when you run out of things on that subject you'll just clam up again - act natural and be calm

He obviosly likes you or he wouldn't continue to call, so I would ask him questions about himself and tell a little bit about yourself. The key is to find something that you both mutually like to talk about. I always found it was easier to talk in real life than on the phone whay not see if he wants to come over and go for a walk with you and you two can laugh at some of the stupid stuff you see

Well, firstly...he calls you - so you've succeeded - He likes you!!!!!
Sounds like just pure shyness Hun, dont worry - happens to everyone at some point.
Just be yourself, if you genuinely have things in common - talk about them
Try music, films, tv, what you've done that day...anything. once you start talking, your shyness will go & you'll find its second nature
But...like I said, the fact he calls you alread, speaks volumes. So bear that in mind & just relax & go for it!

If he likes you, then it would be practically anything. If not, just ask about what he likes. If you're shy, then try to overcome your shyness and just start to try to hang around with him. If he starts noticing you, then you might have something.
