Try another domestic violence shelter if you can find one. Most are not listed. United Way can help. After seeing my children's clothes being sold for almost half of what I paid for them in Goodwill I decided not to give them away there anymore. I found a women and childrens shelter and I give all my clothes there. They give them directly to the women who have left their homes sometimes with barely the clothes on their backs. Many women in those shelters leave in a hurry, or without luggage because of the circumstances they are in. I mean with abusive relationships you cant always pack your things and annouce your leaving. Be a blessing and find a good shelter.

Our local women's shelter is always looking for donations of gently used clothing and supplies - I'm not sure if the House of Ruth is a women's shelter, but if it is look for a different one in your area, as I'm sure there is one that would gratefully accept them.
The same applies to any homeless shelter nearby, or the local Salvation Army. They both provide supplies to desperate families with children.
You can also look in the phone book for a pregnancy crisis center to see if there is one near you. We have one that gives "Mommy Money" to at-risk pregnant women for attending pre-natal classes and doctor's appointments, and the women have the chance to purchase supplies (clothing, furniture, toys, diapers, food, etc) from their "store". All of the supplies are donated. A program similar to that might be offered in your area, and again donations are always needed.

Easter Seals takes donations. They will even come to your house and pick up the things you no longer want. You can check with your local hospital - maternity ward and the yellow pages of your phone book. There should be a women's shelter or the YWCA that could REALLY use baby item's.

Have you considered donating some of the clothes to the hospital where you gave birth? The maternity wards normally need a supply of childrens clothes and it's also a personal gift from you if you gave birth to your daughter there.

Do you have a Salvation Army near by, if so contact them and drop the clothes there. Also try a church.

Look into the different churches near you. They might know of a family who could need them.

Without playing games, don’t be available 100% of the time or let your life be an open book. A man that comes on too strong or doesn’t have outside interests will scare a woman away just as much as it would if the circumstances were reversed. Read here http://AttractAnyWoman.emuy.info/?N027
Women don’t want to feel as though they are completely responsible for your happiness and that is what it feels like when the other person has no outside interests. Men who are overeager or jump when the woman says jump are the ones who are more likely to end up in the friend zone. This doesn’t mean that you should play the game of not calling for a few days; it means that you should set healthy boundaries until you both naturally find a spot for the other in your lives.
