God speaks through nature and the natural world. Those who say God speaks to them directly are liars, usually some sort of con-man or else they are nuts.

In 1 Kings chapter 19, verses 11-12 it states:
"And behold the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the Lord; but the Lord was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the Lord was not in the earthquake: And after the earthquake a fire; but the Lord was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice."
When the Lord speaks to us it is always by the suttle whisperings of His Spirit. You seem to be looking for a way to be guided by our Lord. I can assure you that the only way that you can do this is by listening to His Spirit. In Galatians chapter 5, verses 22-23 Paul states:
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperence: against such there is no law."
I can testify to you that when you feel these things, it is the guidance of a loving Heavenly Father who wants the best for you. Pray about the things that you a seeking and wait for a while, see if you feel these feelings; if you do, you are being guided by the Holy Spirit, if not, don't despair, just keep praying.

No, not always. Often though. At times I couldn't hear or was unwilling to listen.
Those times I did 'hear' Him, they come in different forms. Sometimes another person saying just the right thing at the right time. A certain bible verse I read or remember. A small voice inside that is not my own, but not bad either. The situation itself just miraculously soving itself, or the door just opening very obviously. Sometimes through hard searching, long fruitless days, etc. and finding the answer after great struggle.
The one thing in common was, there was a difference, a 'knowing' that it was the answer, some quality to the answer that showed I was on the right track. And when I didn't listen, things went to crap. Blessings.

If you are hearing voices, that is a good sign of a mental disorder. It is usually Schizophrenia that causes people to hear voices, or the voice of God, in their head. That is the cause of so many people in the past (throughout the Bible, etc) who have claimed to have talked to God. Stop praying and get up off your knees and realize that you should not believe in a God or entity that needs to have his ego boosted all the time. Have you ever questioned that? Why does God need people to always lavish praise on his constantly? Is it due to a low self esteem, or small ...........well, you know?

Hear God..
The holy spirit can help you hear Gods voice and know its truth and not just your own mind talking back to you. The Bible says that the Holy Spirit speaks only Truth. And that as a Christian the holy spirit dwells inside you.
So when you pray ask the holy spirit to reveal the Truth to you. You must be very sincere and you'll know when you hear Gods voice. And you'll know when its true.

convinced people can not hear God yet they could experience or sense issues from him purely in daily existence, even the undesirable issues that takes position with someone is a sweet issues by using the indisputable fact that is a attempt from God. also once you ask God for something you spot it happening now and again and do not ***** if issues do not flow like you opt on because meaning the issue is in you. as well to, God talked to anybody from previous and cutting-edge and coming generations via a messages that look via holy books, extremely in recent times from the in hardship-free words possibility-free books that stayed THE HOLY QUR'AN

Since there is no evidence of any kind that there is any such thing as god, there is no way something that doesn't exist could ever "talk" to anyone.
Your "prayers" are your voice in your own head talking. Anything anyone "hears" back is also their own voice talking in their head. Most sane people recognize this sort of "conversation" in their own minds, and don't call it "god" or anything else. People who truly believe this "other voice" in their head is another person or "god" need to see a mental health professional, as they may have a serious neurological problem.

It is more like being lead, by the Holy Ghost, than a physical conversation.
When you pray He is always faithful, If you do not see that yet, then you are not alone. You need faith.
James 1 .....we read this point my friend :)
4But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
5If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
6But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
7For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
.I hope this answers your question. If we see God or hear Him, then our faith becomes lost to knowledge, how than can we ever be tested, in seeing faith is lost.
This is why we need faith, to grow, to learn.
One day we will not have faith, but pure knowledge and love of our Lord God,blessed be Him.

He speaks in soooo many ways. He'll speak to my spirit alot of times, and reveal things to me outside of my own intellect. God is wisdom, so He knows how to come to you. When you go in prayer to God go in the posture of receiving, but this is key having fatih that you know that you know that you know it's Him. The bible says He that cometh to God must come beliving that He is, and that He's a rewarder to them that diligently seek Him. SO if you're seeking God, honey you're in the posture of gaining rewards, and what greater reward than to have the Father speak to you. Sometimes you'll hear your voice, but it's not your thoughts, cause you have no knowledge on certain things. That's call the wisdom of God. Wisdom is a spiri and it'll talk to you if you allow it to, because it's from God it'll never lead you in the wrong direction. Tell God to come to you clearly so you don't ignore and miss what He's trying to get to you. Read Proverbs 8, and meditate on it. Tell God to open your spirit up to receive the secret things of the kingdom. Be Blessed! Email me if you want.

God doesn't always "talk" directly to us. In fact, very rarely does He actually say something to us. His favorite forms of communication I believe is other people. He wants a community of believers who are standing up for each other. God then speaks through that community. Also, quite often, as you alluded to, He plants thoughts in our head. We ask for help and He answers by popping a thought into your head or by showing you through what He's doing in your life the answers to your questions!
I pray that you can be blessed by something someone says within this question! Perhaps the Lord will, once again, use His community to speak to you! Have a blessed week!
