My '97 4x4 has a solid axle with U joints. The 2002 at work has independent front suspension with CV joints. What year model are you inquiring about?

The correct term you are looking for is a "propellor shaft joint".
They do not use a C/V joint on the front as someone has already stated they use a solid front axle. There is a big difference between the two.
If you go to a parts store, ask for a front, outer prop shaft joint or some places call them outer wheel U-joints.
By definition, a front U-joint in any car would be the one between the transmission output shaft and the front driveshaft yoke.
In a 4WD a front U-joint would normally be the U-joint that connects the front of the foward or rear driveshaft to the differential or the transfer case.

If it's the same as my '99 Dodge Durango, you have ball type CV joints on the front end.

nicely if it dont do it in 2 wheelchronic then its were given to be the frontchronic shaft u-joints that spin the front tires even as its in 4 wheelchronic to do a quickly examine even if it isn't not ordinary to get to move slowly up below there and spot if there any play in that frontchronic shaft with assistance from going left to precise there should be little or no play in that shaft if there to a lot slop or no longer constructive take it to an section restoration shop for a loose estimate good success

I always get automotive questions wrong anyway. Don't you have a manual for your truck? Call your local parts dept at the local dealership and ask them for CV joints or U joints for your car and then you don't have to listen to a lot of uneducated people giving you the wrong answer.
