I've know this guy for a while, and I wasn't interested in him until recently. However I'm sure he's noticed as I have started blushing when I talk to him and it takes me ages now to call him as I need "to prepare myself". He's a sweet guy but he's really shy and I don't think he's had a girlfriend before and I'm not sure whether I would embaress him if I asked him out but I doubt he'll ask me out otherwise...

well, you have nothing to lose, unless he's a complete weirdo he will be flattered that a girl is taking initiative and doing the hard part in the awkward stage of a relationship; getting it started. and your not together now so it cant go too far downhill, if he says no he will probably become a better friend than before or he will admit his secret crush for you and things will work out......hope this helped.

There's asking someone "out" and asking someone out. It's not a big thing. "How'd you like to go for a drink and a chat?" is not the same as "Will you be my boyfriend?" or "Will you go out with me?"
It's just a case of, I think you're OK, lets spend some time together and see what you're really like. Don't look at it as trying to start something special. You're just making a suggestion of something different to do.

i think that you should just give him a while to come clean with it if he likes you then he'll tell you but if your really like him go around and ask some people who he talks to and ask them if he has a girlfriemd or not dont make yourself look like a fool when u do wont to ask him. just relax and take some time about this no need to rush.

If he's shy, I really doubt he will ask you out, so you shouldn't wait for him to make the first move. You should ask him out yourself, because you'll probably regret it if you don't!

Well, you can. There seems to be no harm in it. Like I want to ask my crush out and I would since it seems like we both are shy but i'm having car trouble and unable to do so. So DO IT!!!

ask him out but in a non-pressurised way. Plan what you will say first so you don't both get lost for words. if you don't you might be waiting for him to ask for a long time, maybe he would never get the courage.

If he's interested in you, he will ask you out. Why do so many girls assume a guy is "shy" when he simply isn't all that interested in her? If you don't think he'll ask you out, assume he isn't that into you.
