No, God is not the author of confusion. You will find one of the reasons for religious division described in the last couple of verses in the book of Jude.

JW is heretic, why not believe what Christians have believed the last 2000 years?

There is divisions because people are not perfect and we have to use common sence to find the right denomination, i do not belong to any denomination at the moment.

I am associated with Jehovah's Witnesses, and we don't believe that the trinity is Biblical. We believe that Jesus is A God, and the Almighty God's Son, but we do not believe that Jesus and God and the Holy Spirit are all one and the same.

The division of Christianity is the sign of pride in the church: Baptist, Catholics, Evangelicals, etc. all have thier beliefs in the Almighty, blessed be he. I am sure we will be surprised.
