I was hit in the parking lot of a mall in Miami? I made a police report. What will my State Farm insurance do if I report this hit. I already have a repair quote of around 1200, and my deduc is 500.

If the "accident" is not your fault, and this is substantiated by the police report State Farm will not take action against your policy.

I live in Miami, and I have State Farm.

A hint: Use one of their preferred shops, even if it's a little more expensive. You won't pay more than your deductible anyway.

Their work will be guaranteed for the entire run of your ownership of that car.

You should report it to your insurance company. Your rates will probably go up some unless you have All State insurance but you probably don't want to have to pay the $1200 out of your pocket. Your insurance rates will be affected regardless of whether or not you were at fault for the accident. I know that sucks but that is how insurance companies are. They'll use any excuse to raise your rates.

Florida is a no fault state. An accident where you are not at fault should not raise your rates, but only your agent can answer with any hint of being correct.
