I have a friend who's 13 year old son has loss close to 100 pounds over the past 6 months. The doctors have no idea why. He is on an extremely high calorie diet now, eating gallons of chocolate ice cream and drinking ensure. Nothing seems to be helping. On this diet, every day, he has lost 12 pounds in the past month. He has ADD or ADHD *I can't remember which*

If anyone has any clue as to what may be causing this please let me know. It is imperative that the problem or a solution is found as soon as possible. Maybe your child had this issue or you are a doctor who has seen this before. Whatever you THINK it could be I want to know.

Thank you!!

Oh my. Most 13 year olds typically don't weigh much more than 100 lbs. Was he large to begin with? Has he been monitored 24/7 for a week to be absolute certain he's not vomitting? What do endocrinologists say?

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

The first thing I think of is diabetes, but the doctormust have checked him for that, or he wouldn't be eating all that ice cream.
He could be hyperthyroid. Have they checked that?

If they are unhappy with this doctor, they should get a second opinion. TODAY.
