BY PROVIDING EMPLOYMENT TO ALL THE PEOPLE, AND REMOVING INCOME DISPARITIES, WE CAN ERADICATE POVERTY.

You can't remove poverty. There will always be people in this world that choose it by refusing to work or get an education.I have read some answers on her that sound pretty communistic in nature. I think it has been proven that it a terribly flawed system. If people were not by nature greedy and selfish, it might work nicely, but that is not reality. Redistribution of wealth is not the answer. You offer help such as job training to those that want it and you have to forget about the rest. Sounds harsh, I know, but people should not be rewarded for not trying to work or better themselves. The only thing we need to do is see to is that they can get medical attention when needed. Providing free housing is not the answer either. I have no problem provide HUD to those that are attempting to better themselves, but there really are people out there in the world that like the life they have chosen. Forcing people to pay for the poor through higher taxes will not work either. It should be left up to the individual to help.

Poverty is a pit. The problem with a lot of social services is that they do not extend a ladder to help people out of the pit. They just throw free food and medical down to them.
People who are in poverty need a "ladder" to get them out. A way to step into a better future and not lose benefits or assistance once they start earning a living. Taking benefits away once people just start to get back on their feet only discourages people from becoming self supporting.
Then there are some folks who are simply lazy. Those I have no solution for.

The cause of poverty is that many people have poverty consciousness. By enhancing the level of thinking, that is by creating an awareness to identify the immense potential human beings possess, they can be converted into ones with abundance consciousness. The first step is to strike at the root of penury in our heart and then start thinking that the people are rich and they have abundance.

We need to understand that everything is created twice first in thinking and then in reality. So if all the people every day say that "I always have abundance and I am rich and I am wealthy and the universe has abundance" that would create immense positive energy to wipe out any misery from the world, because it would change the vibration of the planet. It is just a matter of accepting this reality by changing the mind set and start repeating it with faith in the morning and at night, day after day. Then abundance would replace poverty.

This knowledge is experiential, so anybody who says it would shift towards abundance consciousness. The repeated utterances cause the effect of mantras and create a change in the destiny of an individaul, which in turn change the culture of the family, society and the world as a whole.

The shift to abundance started the moment this thought is released into the universe. Anyone who reads this and repeats accelerates the conversion to abundance consciousness of the entire world and thus invites luck and wealth into his or her life.

We probably never will get rid of poverty and maybe we shouldn't get rid of it! That is hard to understand but may be true. What we should do is try to minimize or even eliminate the suffering that comes with poverty. For example, the poor should have access to appropriate medical and dental care. They should have access to education and job training. They should be able to better their lives if they are willing. They should not be mistreated by those who have wealth. A Utopian society is a fantasy and is more likely in my opinion to lead to a Hitlerian society than any real nirvana. So we need to respect the poor and give them a place in society with dignity and with opportunity.

The simple answer is that man will never do this because he is inherently selfish? But don't give up hope? See the following Scriptures Things that our Creator promises.
Psalms 37:10,11,29 Revelation 21:3,4 Joshua 23:14
Isaiah 11:6-9 Revelation 11:18 Daniel 2:44 Zephaniah 2:3
These thoughts are meant for encouragement and to help people understand that they must make an effort to find out God's plans and to see if they want to be part of his plans?

Let me tell you that poverty is a relative concept. People who want more ( no matter what they have)are poor. Rich are those persons who need the least. People are to be taught about that.

However, people need money for their basic needs also and if you want to provide that to a large scale then you will have to start an organisation like the missionaries do.For this you need a high level of determination and organising ability.

when every human starts understanding the need of the basic things to support human life, when each one of us is contended with what we have and start sharing it with others who require it much more than us, when one can lend a helping hand to a friend without his asking for and also selflessly can poverty come to an end. the scenario existing is that the rich is becoming more richer and the poor is further driven down to a worser state. All of us should strive to attain this goal of employment for all, and the 3 basic things---food, clothing and shelter for all.

Genocide has proven effective in the past but I find it a little severe myself. I never understand why people hate the poor so much, they seem nice enough to me.
