Well at marine boot camp there is a thing that the D.I.s use called I.T. its intensive training. They pretty much try to kill you in 10 minutes. They use it as a punishment or just for fun when they are bored. They put you in a certain area and make you do every kind of excersize they can very fast. Situps!!!! Stop!!!! Pushups!!!! Stop!!!! get it. You dont ever want to get i.t.'d

If you're talking about the thing that you do at boot camp, then I.T. stands for "Intensive Training". Basically, it's a long session of intense physical activity.

I.T. otherwise is information technology.

i think that it is information and technology it means the study of computers , how to use one and how it works and also how to repair or assemble one. it's not only about computers but also a bit about technology which people often don't know how to use so this help the soldiers to be well prepared if they need to affront something like that!!!

From my experience it means "Information Technology."

However, depending on the branch ofservice the acronym could mean many different things.

For example in the Army it could mean "Individual Training."

Normally elite in reference to the military or anything else, means that they are better than the other parts of the military that they serve with or associated with.
