First of all - Not all Christian's 'Bash' Gays -- It's streo-typical of you to assume that right off the bat.
Second of all, just like you want the right to marry being gay - Anyone has the right to tell you how they feel about it -- It's called freedom of speech. When you decided to come out, you knew that a large majority of the population wouldn't support it. I commend you for doing so. It takes a lot, and even though homosexuality is becoming more common and accepted, it is still a very controvercial issue.
Third - Christians aren't against gay marriage b/c it's adultry -- Adultry isn't gay marriage -- Adultry is when a married man or woman has sex with someone other than his or her spouse -- To say that we call you adulterers is ignorant, and any person who has said you're commiting adultry is just as ignorant.
It says in the bible that Man shall not lie with man -- In that Homosexuality is wrong, and that is why so many have problems with the homosexual world and the idea of 'gay marriage'
A lot of my friends are gay -- They know how I feel about it, and my religious views but I would never turn from someone b/c of a choice they have made -- To me, that's like not being someone's friend b/c they are Catholic, or drive a Cadillac -- It's someones choice -
Just keep in mind, that even though Many Christians may object and protest and put up signs and whatever -- Not everyone is like that --

Same sex marriage destroys the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman which is the intent of God
Marriage in the order of creation
1603 "The intimate community of life and love which constitutes the married state has been established by the Creator and endowed by him with its own proper laws. . . . God himself is the author of marriage."87 The vocation to marriage is written in the very nature of man and woman as they came from the hand of the Creator. Marriage is not a purely human institution despite the many variations it may have undergone through the centuries in different cultures, social structures, and spiritual attitudes. These differences should not cause us to forget its common and permanent characteristics. Although the dignity of this institution is not transparent everywhere with the same clarity,88 some sense of the greatness of the matrimonial union exists in all cultures. "The well-being of the individual person and of both human and Christian society is closely bound up with the healthy state of conjugal and family life."89
1604 God who created man out of love also calls him to love the fundamental and innate vocation of every human being. For man is created in the image and likeness of God who is himself love.90 Since God created him man and woman, their mutual love becomes an image of the absolute and unfailing love with which God loves man. It is good, very good, in the Creator's eyes. And this love which God blesses is intended to be fruitful and to be realized in the common work of watching over creation: "And God blessed them, and God said to them: 'Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it.'"91
1605 Holy Scripture affirms that man and woman were created for one another: "It is not good that the man should be alone."92 The woman, "flesh of his flesh," his equal, his nearest in all things, is given to him by God as a "helpmate"; she thus represents God from whom comes our help.93 "Therefore a man leaves his father and his mother and cleaves to his wife, and they become one flesh."94 The Lord himself shows that this signifies an unbreakable union of their two lives by recalling what the plan of the Creator had been "in the beginning": "So they are no longer two, but one flesh."95

You are wrong, I don't bash gays, and I'm a christian. I have gay friends and I display the love of God to them. But there's no compromising in God's Word. He calls the act of homosexuality detestable. It's not how he created the family structure to be. Man+Woman=be fruitful and multiply
You can't be fruitful like this
Woman+Woman=HOMOSEXUALITY
Man+Man=HOMOSEXUALITY
Christians don't hate gays they just I guess to high to come where they are and minister to them on a level without hatred, animosity, and condemnation. That's where we're ignorant at. Christ in all of His divineness never acted as if He was to good to serve the people. But homosexulaity is wrong.

God's laws are higher than man's. Where in the Bible does it say that it's okay to be gay? The Bible says that a man should leave his family and cling to his WIFE--not even his girlfriend--it specifically says his WIFE. There are alot of people who talk bad about gay people and are adulterers themselves---shacking up, cheating on their spouses, pornography, and who knows what else. They should be concerned with their own sin and not someone else's. The Bible says, "Who is without sin, cast the first stone." Christians are to love with the love of Christ--and that means to love everyone, regardless of their walk in life. You don't have to like everyone's decisions for their lives, but we are required by Christ--to love everyone as ourselves.

Actually, true Christians don't bash gays, because we understand that being gay is not a sin. It's the people who claim to be Christians but aren't who get so bent out of shape about gays.
