Those verses refer to times of war.
For example, people quote verse 9:5 to show that the Qur'an is violent. See the very next verse, 9:6, that says if they stop fighting you, don't kill them. Not only that, escort them to their place of safety.
Similarly all the other such verses you see, check out the surrounding verses and the chapter.

It's only taken out of context if you don't read anything else around it. "Kill the infidels" refers to times of war, such as the Crusades.

Here is the full version of Surahs and be kind enough to tell anything wrong with it.......
"Fight in the cause of God those WHO FIGHT YOU, but do not transgress limits; for God loveth not transgressors. (The Noble Quran, 2:190)"
"But if the enemy incline towards peace, do thou (also) incline towards peace, and trust in God: for He is One that heareth and knoweth (all things). (The Noble Quran, 8:61)"
"And if anyone of the idolaters seeketh thy protection (O Muhammad), then protect him so that he may hear the word of God, and afterward convey him to his place of safety. "(The Qur’an 9:6)
"[2:190-192] And fight in the cause of Allah with those WHO FIGHT WITH YOU, and do not exceed the limits, surely Allah does not love those who exceed the limits. And kill them wherever you find them, and drive them out from where they drove you out, and persecution is severer than slaughter, and do not fight with them at the Sacred Mosque (in Makkah) UNTILL THEY FIGHT WITH YOU in it, but if they do fight you, then slay them; such is the reward of the unbelievers. But if they desist, then surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. And fight with them until there is no persecution, and religion should be only for Allah, but if they desist, then there should be no hostility EXCEPT AGAINST THE OPPRESSORS."
These instructions exactly correspond with the International law. And every nation and every person or set of people has the right to self defence and to defend his/their property.-----as per law of the land.
I hope you will respond.
Additional notes :
Thanx for asking clarification.
The last one first.
Since almost all skeptics qoute these suras out of context, I mistook you for the same. I apologise.
As for "....................and kill them wherever you find them.........." is again incomplete without ,,,,,,,," and drive them out FROM WHERE THEY DROVE YOU OUT..........."
This, as you can understand from the surah, is relevent for the war periods and for the waring sections.
You are aware of the International law, where a nation can attack the other to recapture her land which was occupied by the enemy nation.During this process i.e.war, the enemy defenders are killed. And killing an enemy and drive him out of land IS NOT A CRIME OR WAR CRIME IN THE EYES OF INTERNATIONAL LAW.
The Surah has no relevency for peace prevailing times.
Hope I have clarified.

It mean exactly what it says.
The definition of infidel is anyone not muslim.
I am not muslim. I am Christian.
That doesn't mean I am wrong necessarily.
