no,as much as I think that global warming has SOME validity, the world will keep on rolling along. The inevitability of a large asteroid hitting the earth is probably how it will end.Science has shown that this should happen long before the sun goes supernova and consumes the solar system.
Mankinds problem is mental.Thsi thing we call self consciousness has removed us from the natural order only from our own perspective. As a result I think we will be shitting in our bed for a very long time

I'll take that bet :)

Global warming is a human-caused raising of the average temperature on earth. If we continue to pump greenhouse gases into our atmosphere, our climate will change dramatically, coastlines will be flooded, we'll have more desert, and the way we live now will be radically altered. There is NO evidence, of any kind, that it's the "end of the world." The warnings about global warming are warnings that unless we make changes, we're going to have to radically alter our way of life, not that the world is going to "end."

Superstitious religions have been predicting the "end of the world" for thousands of years -- and it's never happened. Every time there is any kind of worldwide crisis (both world wars, volcanos erupting, tidal waves, etc.), some religious person claims it's a sign of the end of the world -- yet here we still are, and here we're going to stay. And even IF -- and it's a big, unproven if -- global warming causes the end of the human race, the "world" would happily go along its merry way without US around. It would still be here, with or without humans. It's incredibly arrogant to assume that without humans there would be no "world" -- there were no humans for billions of years of the world's history, and it got along just fine without us being here.

So, you lose -- pay up :)

No global warming is a signal that man made interference into nature can have severe unwanted effects. In will take world wide committment to slow down the problem . In the next 20 years you will see the price of hybrid vehicles and solar cells drop dramatically .

The end of the world will be when the whole planet is gone, global warming just allows water to take up more of the earths land. End of the world is pure nonsense. When a huge meteor is coming our way then ask if it's the end of the world. i'm not being mean though, just stating what i think.

...I think not. First, global warming has not been proven true, it is based on what some consider junk science, and not all scientists agree it is even true. Many media outlets couldn't care less whether it is true or not, as long as they can keep the hysteria going - unfortunately, in many cases, truth is secondary to political agendas.
...I personally believe that many environmental groups are trying to get taxpayer dollars to fund their junk science and wield more power in the process - they have a lot of power today already. If you don't believe this, then consider that we haven't built an oil refinery in 30 years, and that getting approval to explore for oil (which would help our country) and other improvements have become a major undertaking and a nightmare, thanks to environmentalists.
...Secondly, where is global warming found in Scripture? Nowhere that I know, and I have been reading the Scriptures for 29 years.
...Whatever the case, God is sovereign, and He has promised to meet all our needs (if you are a believer) - and if you are a believer and die, you go to be with Jesus Christ - so we need not fear.

No. It will take much more to wipe out the earth. If global warming becomes great enough, than it will wipe out MOST of the life on this planet. It's happened before and the world did not end; it just changed.

No it's because we have abused this planet for centuries and now we are paying the price. We are all going to die if global warming continues at this rate. Personally speaking I ain't laying any bets on getting into heaven either.

No! Global warming will make the temperature rise a bit, make the polar ice caps melt, and make the oceans rise by about 20 feet. We will adapt, and move away from the coast as those cities flood. There will still be plenty of land. It's not the end.

Oh my God..........you are right, this is the only time in history, since the beginning of the planet that the temperature has fluctuated at all (please note sarcasm).
Oh, by the way, just FYI the average global temperature throughout the 20th century (100 years) increased by 0.6 degrees Celsius (plus or minus 0.2 degrees). Did you know that?
I am going to assume that you are a Christian, who is forever awaiting the end of the world. What is wrong with you people? Why can't you just go and jump off of a cliff or building? That would help the rest of us and the planet by getting rid of people like you, and just think you would be in a better place called heaven. Wow, just think it is a win-win situation. And if you think it is suicide, the jumping off does not actually kill you so God can't be mad at that. And if God did not want you to die, then he would miracle your butt to fly.

No, but it is signalling an end of an era of overindulgence. The world will not end (well, probably not at least), but we will have to curb a lot of our habits, and we WILL learn the hard way. Unfortunately the half measures we are currently taking are not and will not be enough.

When the arctic melts, many cities will be underwater, and large populaces will suffer. But afterwards, we will hopefully have learned to listen to science and not believe "hey, we can do whatever we want!" like the Republican party likes to tell us...
