Most of the biographers of Lord Jesus Christ don't give any account the details how he spent his years in India. But, Aquarian Gospel says something that Lord Jesus Christ was residing in the temple of Lord Jagannatha in Puri, Orissa, India.

Any one living in the temple accepts a Guru.
Even Lord Krishna accepted as the Supreme Personality of Godhead took Sandipini Muni as his guru to set up an example for the serious spiritual practitioners about the necessity of guru.
Otherwise, everyone is on their own concocting and imagining the different unauthorized ways for spiritual advancement.

I don't think he was a master of anything, and I'm not even certain that he ever lived at all -- there's very little real evidence of it.

It's hard to tell anything about "jesus" -- the only thing we have to go by are a few stories about him written by people who never met him, long after he supposedly lived. The gospels aren't eyewitness accounts, they're apocryphal stories -- and they contradict each other numerous times. So how much of them is true and how much was made up? It's impossible to tell...and without any independent corroborating evidence, it's reasonable to assume that none of it is true.
Peace.

There is a period documented by biblical historians where there is no written account of Jesus during several of his young adult years. Some people have noted similarity between many Buddhist teachings to that of Christ, and have proposed that maybe he studied Buddhism at some point.

Jesus was raised a Hebrew. They had a rigid standard for education of boys. The Bible says, "Jesus grew in wisdom and stature in favor with God and man", so he studied the Torah and the other prescribed Hebrew literature under a Rabbai, just like any other boy his age.

We don't know who this Rabbai was, but we can be certain that Jesus got "straight As" in school, and went on to become a Rabbai, himself (he was called Rabbai later in his life).
