so we all know lord of the rings and other similars stories are pure fiction right?? well what if way back when the bible, koran and other so called religious texts were written they were just stories made up at that time to be entertainment rather than belief systems. maybe thousands of years from now people will read our books and believe that they are telling factual stories

One day, the Silmarillion will be taken to be a religion text by some.


In case you don't know what the Silmarillion is, it is a book written by Tolkein that explains the creation of middle earth and the origin of the wizards and the elves.

The "sacred texts" just aren't written as well. But I agree they're purely fantasy.

should I bow to your superior knowledge of all things spiritual and eternal and whether the Bible is the Word of God?
and all this time, I thought God created the universe, the Bible and created YOU and that He was the one with the vast knowledge of all things spiritual and eternal.
oh, before I give up on my belief in God totally, what are your qualifications again?
