first of all you might want to try some deep conditioning treatment coz it sounds like your hair is very brittle, what i do is tie a silk scarf over my head at night. if you cannot do that try sleeping with a silk pillow case, it is a lot more gentle on your hair than cotton

It sounds as though you need to use a good conditioner on your hair. If you live in the UK there's one called 'three minute miracle' by Aussie. If it's really brittle, try putting a treatment oil into the hair and leave it in overnight (put a towel on your pillow) you may find that during the night, your hair has absorbed all the oil and it might not even need rinsing out in the morning.

your hair must be in pretty bad condition if it is breaking off, firstly i would have a trim, use dumb blonde conditioner by bed head tigi, it maybe a little expensive but well worth it, leave it on your hair overnite. when you have your next colour dont apply the colour through to the ends just do the roots, its not necessary to colour the ends everytime, it will be alot less damaging to your hair. also dont wash your hair everyday and minimse using straighteners and hairdryers.

My personal experience with breaking hair is when you need a trim. Trim just enough to make the ends healthy again. Also, it may break alot of you have abused it with styling and / or coloring, in this case, some sort of treatment may be needed.

That depends on why your hair is breaking off. If it is from coloring or bleaching it too many times. The only answer is to cut off the damaged part and let it grow out. This lets you start over.

Use a silk pillow case..
Get your ends trimmed often.
If you want to continue bleaching your shredded wheat, maybe start taking a vitamin supplement with biotin in it and eating more foods that are high in Omega-3's.
Moisturizing shampoos and conditioners are a only a TEMPORARY fix to hair issues.
Nutrition is the number one factor.

Well, you need to use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. Don't do stuff to it that will absolutely kill it. Thats the best way. Good luck with your hair!
