The donation requested is for help with campaign funds. There is an obscene amount of money already being spent on campaigns as it is. What do you think it could be better used for?

UNICEF and inner city schools for starters.
Much of that campaign money is used to fund nasty campaign ads on both sides and the media is profiting from it.

In the US, the campaigns are supposed to be "publicly funded". This means that they're supposed to be funded by the government. How else would the government fund things except by taxing people. The public funding is supposed to give everybody an equal footing when it comes to campaign donations - in theory, anyway. It doesn't always work out that way.

I think it should go toward paying down the national debt. It would be a drop in the pail, but every bit helps.
