I didn't even watch the Superbowl...I tuned in just to see his performance. I thought it was absolutely terrible. I loved him when I was a little...Purple Rain era...and still listen to his music often. He butchered his own songs. Sometimes it is just best that the 80s artists simply fade away...leaving us with the memories of who they were when they were great; rather than trying to make a comeback...when the singers no longer have the voice that they once did. Like many of the bands I have seen comeback, Prince was huffing and puffing when he sang...did not even sing every word. It had nothing to do with the moving/dancing, etc.; He could do both just fine before. Aww...disappointed.

I was underwhelmed. I knew Prince back in the day and what he normally brings to a performance is manic energy. I didn't see that Sunday. I felt he may have been doing a little Diva thing, like "Oh, my gosh, I can't believe I have to do this performance in the pouring rain". I did appreciate the poignancy of singing "Purple Rain" in the rain, though.

Um....honestly, I think they could have gotten someone better for the Super bowl. Prince was ok, but I didn't "feel the love" at all.

I don't know because I didn't watch the game or the half time. I heard he was awesome. I now hate that I missed his performance.
