"I come to this debate, Mr. Speaker, as one at the end of 10 years in office on the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, where stopping the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction was one of my top priorities. I applaud the President on focusing on this issue and on taking the lead to disarm Saddam Hussein. ... Others have talked about this threat that is posed by Saddam Hussein. Yes, he has chemical weapons, he has biological weapons, he is trying to get nuclear weapons."

I have to agree, if one side wants to claim they "made a mistake" in their vote then they can not try to crucify the other side for the same mistake a.k.a bad intelligence. BUT, we are there now & there is no immediate way out without destroying Iraq & having our supporters mass murdered, having the world lose complete faith in the US to stand with them in tough times, & demoralizing our troops. So I have one thing to say, Get over it! We must make the best of it & save the Iraqi people.
Did you see Reid vote against the Democrats statement yesterday after he saw it would lose? It was funny even if it was all part of the Senate games.

You can cut semantics all day, but this is true Democrat form. Follow the polls, Since it was political expedient to be for it then. Now it is not and Pelosi political survival ,character and power only relies on polls so that's why.

A fool maintains his opinion in spite of new facts.

If all you can do is accuse Democrats of "flip-flopping",
you have lost your case. To not change your opinion
when faced with overwhelming contrary information is
stupid in a way that will damage your electorate.
