"Fuzzy Logic is basically a multivalued logic that allows intermediate values to be defined between conventional evaluations like yes/no, true/false, black/white, etc. Notions like rather warm or pretty cold can be formulated mathematically and processed by computers."

"Fuzzy logic" wouldn't apply to renewable energy. It's a term used by computer scientists to refer to certain types of very sophisticated computer programming techniques.

The idea is basically simple. Computers normally use logic that is "either/or"--which is find up to a point. But many real-world applications require making choices based on approximate or incomplete information--or involve a range of choices which will work, but some are better solutions than others.

"Fuzzy logy" systems are computer software/hardware systems designed to handle those types of problems-- where simple either/or decisions aren't adequate.
