if a dog happens to eat pork and if THAT is what can cause colitis. does that mean it only comes because he ate the pork, or once he gets colitis will he always have it? what are the reasons a dog can get colitis to begin with? thank u for any answers.

most dogs have a hard time digesting pork especially the fat or grease.my dogs have suffered with same proplems.try feeding small portions of cooked hamburger(drained of all fat)mixed w/cooked white rice(ant kind).one part hamburger to three parts rice.make enough for 24 to 48 hours.my vet recomended this and it works great!it allows the stomach to settle down and to pass anything still in digestive system.if this doesnt help call your vet something more serious may be wrong.it usealy works great.l
