I have been best friends with this guy for abotu a year now. i just got out of a long relationship so i wanted to take it slow with this guy. Me and this guy decided to go on a date and it turned out like perfectly. We kissed and stuff, but it wasn't weird becuase we have been best friends for so long. I am just really worried to get hurt becuase I have been hurt so many times in the past by guys acting like they are really into me and then only wanting one thing from me in the end.
He tells me that he is crazy about me and that he loves that we have the same values and morals and everytime we kiss he always like strokes my back and my hair and stuff, not trying to like do anything else... I just don't want this to turn out bad becuase I really like him.
I guess what I am really asking is how do I know if he is sincere in what he has been saying to me?

Just don't get to bed right away if he ask you to. If he is okay with it thats mean he is sincere. You can judge him by that. Trust your guts feeling since that it happens before. If he is interested in getting to know your family member that is maybe another good sign but can be deceiving and again trust your guts feeling. And one thing you can do though, don't hesitate to ask him to tell you the truth about how he feels about you. Tell him about your previous experience the reason why you scared about your relationship with him now whether it is genuine relationship or not. A good man is a man who is willing to listen and not who judge you. Good luck!

keep saying no if he asks for sex --- if he is serious then he wont push the point --- be prepared to discuss it though not as a turn on simply as part of the getting to know each other --- people can discuss sex without getting carried away ---- best wishes

You don't. You have to have a little faith and a little patience and time will tell if he is sincere. Don't rush into anything and take it slow!

You really can't know for sure. It will take time and trust. He will treat you well and show his feelings by what he does.
