We've both decided to wait until she gets herself together before we pursue anything further than friendship, but I'm skeptical because what if during the wait, she decides that she wants to stay friends and winds up with someone else?

Just be there for her whenever she needs you. Keep talking to her. Sometimes, people just need time for get themselves together. Although, it's tricky... if you were dating and she wants time for herself, she might be chasing someone else and you're the backup.

It is a good idea that you wait. You and her need to be really really sure about moving to the next level. The right woman will come along. And if she decides stay friends shows that she doens't have intimate feeling towards you - doesn't mean she hates you or anything it is just the feeling is not there. You cannot force somebody to love you the way you want them to love you. Give her time okay. Love is patience it is hurt sometimes but it is worth the wait. I did before I met my husband. Good luck!

I think you are both being very mature in your relationship. If either of you do find someone else during the waiting period, you should be thankful that you did wait. It would be far worse jumping into a marriage or into a living together situation, and finding out later it was a mistake.

Make it clear that waiting for each other is what you both want and you both want to wait for it. If there is any thought that you 2 won't end up waiting it out then don't. Make sure you let each other know what is going on in your lives.

yes ur making the right decision bein single aint a disease hello man u could also meet someone else relax itll work out and if u miss her that bad then thats a good sign atleast ull know ull want her for more than sex and if she meets someone else let her go she would never really have been urs ur single boy that aint bad theres a world of opportunity out there

it is always good to wait on someone even though somtimes its in vain. If she was meant for you it will happen, keep praying and ask god for guidance.

I would be worried too and I would be around her often so that didn't happen.
