Women: Self Conscious or easily insulted?

Question

I hope I'm not generalizing but instead of referring to 'women', I am actually talking about my girlfriend. The title was to catch your attention. Hahahaha. However, this morning her kitty dumped a couple of 'cat brownies' on the carpet. She pointed it to me and I asked curiously, "Have you cleaned the kitty litter lately?"

Next thing I know... she's totally insulted. Gives me this mean look and totally ignores me. I was just curious because she 'always' clean the kitty litter. So I put the effort into taking the time to clean 'the cat's brownies' off the carpet and also the kitty litter.

Now can someone explain to me why she was easily insulted even though that wasn't my intention?

Maybe she thought kitty was a joint effort and got insulted because she always cleans the damn litter box and how come you dont lol

Maybe something else was already bothering her and you just set it off by saying that. or maybe she really is just sick of cleaning it all the time. If you see it needs to be cleaned then some times you should just be a sweet heart and go ahead and clean it for her!

Maybe she thought you think she's useless and even though she loves her cat she doesn't take too much care of her...who knows?ask her and then a little kiss and hug should do the thing ;)

You were supposed to say, "Yuck, that IS gross, honey. I'll clean that up right now." But good job on the follow through.

Its hormons. im a women and i get upset easy too. but it depends on the mood. maybe she though u were getting onto her for it...because she does always do it.

There is a cyclic change phenomena with some women... And, no matter how right you might have been, you were wrong.
