What do you think of a god that allows eternal torment for babies that had no choice? If they didn't go to Hell, then why did he drown them in the first place?

Well apparently he drowned them because all of humanity was wicked except Noah. So isn't the usual biblical punishment for that offense to be sent to Hell?

I ask lots of baby questions because it most effectively demonstrates the evil of god.

Of course, there is no hell and no god.

No, babies are innocents.
I cannot even pretend to second guess God on what sort of sin was going on to make Him want to wipe out the entirety of His creation. Creator's privilege, I guess.

I really am amazed at people like you who always try to look for questions that will make God a hateful, stupid and insensitive one.
Anyway, since I am also stupid enough to cater to your questions i just hope you are sincerely looking for an answer. Here is what I feel should be the reply.
I am wicked honestly and that is the nature I possess on the other side of the good thing I am. I have a choice however, as to which one should I use in my life. Even if I am wicked by nature but as long as I have not committed an act of wickedness, then I do not believe that my God will deny me of the rightful place I deserve when time comes.
In that aspect, I firmly believe the same thing goes on to the babies you worried about many thousand years ago. Your question why did God drown them in the first place if they did not go to hell...well, I hope you have heard of the word collateral damage. Had they survived, it was never told if Noah's family or Noah himself have adopted them or someone else outside the ark must have. Noah and his family could have only been the recorded survivors of the great flood but not necessarily the only survivors in the world. And what if the if world they are talking about is the world they only knew?

The babies that died in the flood were NOT wicked. Yes, they died, but that does not mean they were condemned to Hell. Let me tell you something you might not know about Jesus. According to the Bible, Jesus was the Creator, the SAME Jesus who said "Suffer unto me the little children". By his very own mouth, Jesus would not let a baby suffer eternal damnation, because they have not reached the point in their life where they understand enough to be held accountable for eternity for their sins.
As for your second question, the reason God drowned them in the first place had NOTHING to do with anything the babies did or did not do, because they obviously did nothing wrong. He did it because it was his way of SAVING their souls before they grew up to become evil and corrupt as the rest of the world had. Also, because in God's INFINITE wisdom, He knew that the babies' time here on Earth is NOTHING compared to the Eternity they would be spending in Heaven with Him.
And that's what many people don't think about. They think living on this Earth is all there is, but on the other side of that door known as death is their spiritual eternity waiting for them. Which side of the fence they're on when they die is a direct result of accepting Jesus or rejecting Jesus while they were alive.

Babies are pure and holy. Since they are innocent, they don't need baptism until they are old enough to choose between right and wrong (same goes for the mentally retarded, etc.). Those who believe against such are denying a pretty basic truth, as well as common sense.
There is life beyond this one, so this life is just one step. Some tradgedies are sad for those here, but are just another step in the big picture and really not so bad afterwards. Hence often the innocent will die in natural disasters, etc.
I think that many of those who drowned in the flood probably had a second chance in the next life (I view the next life as still having many differing opinions---it's like this life without the body, until we have the resurrection, which is when we will be judged). Their reward isn't as great as if they would have not rejected the truth here, but it is still there.

Who said that the babies were wicked and they did not go to hell God works in mysterious ways and man will never know his reasons for what he does but one thing is for sure there is a reason maybe to get your attention I know your care about children that maybe your calling to take care of the children

the babies died because their parents were wicked. children often suffer because of their parents...being babies, they did not go to hell, but their parents did.....
you see this now with parents making their childen suicide bombers..they children die because their parents are evil, not God.
someone has to be old enough to know what evil is, and choose it, before God holds them responsible.
death for the babies was actually an act of mercy, because if they had grown up like their parents, they would have ended up in hell.

He drowned them only because they were BORN to sin, not GUILTY of it,as they hadn't yet reached an age of accountability and manturity that would allow them to see the fact that were sinners in need of redemption. Due to this innocence, they were still sent to Heaven, not Hell.

hell is a creation of religion, christian and catholic religions....
therefore, especially babies, go back Home to Heaven, with Our Creator waiting for them to begin a new life!
are U wicked? It sounds like it, young person!
With time, intelligent people understand more and I hope you do to! God Loves U, young person!

They were not babies with a redeemable spirit. They had a demonic spirit and were the product of the fallen angels having babies with human women. Yes, they went to hell.

It is a matter of common sense that the babies went to Heaven.Only those who were at the age of reason and defied God , went to Hell.I am sure of this...If somebody told you something else ..tell him that he is not God, and must show you where it is written in the Bible that a baby went to hell. This means defying God...
