best lotion for dry skin?

i used to have an oily skin but now the cold weather is drying my skin so bad...can anyone recommend a good lotion for dry skin? i would appreciate anyone's help. thanks

The best I have found is at www.beeroyalproducts.com. They have a moisturizer creme concentrate that is the best. I love it. When it goes on it don't feel greasy or oily. It almost feels like a soft powder.

Most over the counter products don't work or are more harmful. Do a Search on Answers for dry skin and you will find that is the experience of many.
Here is a safe, NATURAL, low cost treatment that really works. If you apply to entire face or other parts of body you will find a remarkable curing of dry skin and also of most other skin conditions. Unfortunately we make skin unhealthy by use of soaps, skin cleaners and countless other products that have harsh chemicals and ingredients which harm skin. It depends on where you have the dry skin. I just get dry skin on my hands mostly. I just rub them with olive oil. It works great! It's kind of annoying at first becuase it doesnt soak in really fast like lotion. But it works really well and lasts for a long time.

There are so many lotions and creams it's insane. Try bag balm. It was initially created for cow udders, but has since been used to treat any number of things, including dry/chapped skin. You can find it your local drug store. It is in square a green tin.
Also, Crabtree and Evelyn have some awesome products.

The best skin care system I have ever used is made by Arbonne and it is the NutriMinC Re9 line. It has given my face a younger appearance and really moisturizes it without causing it to be oily.

I have extremely dry skin myself, my dermatologist recommends a brand called Eucerin. They have 2 kinds, one for normal type dry skin, and one with alpha hydroxy for flaky dry skin. They are excellent for sensitive skin (even the alpha hydroxy one, as it has only a mild amount). Also, it is far more effective to put the lotion on after a shower, before your dried off.

I have really dry skin and have tried everything. There is an Equate brand lotion you can get at walmart... its a cream that comes in a little white plastic container... works great!

it's called equate moisturizing cream i get it at wall-mart it's for sensitive skin and no odors added. and not only that but i know that sugar and caffeine will dry your skin and if your water has chlorine in it, it can burn and damage your skin it would be safer to take baths instead of showers

I think if you are just looking for one you can buy at the local store I would suggest Curel, it is not greasy like Vaseline but gets the job done. It is also best because it does not have a obvious smell to it.
