the supernatural exists - yet most of you claim that religions are man-made. revelation 17:2+5 talks about a mystery babylonian religion that the kings of the world will be taking a part in. that 'g' you see everywhere, hidden in logos (life Ford) means 'generative principle' babylonian junk is fertility (phyllic symbols) and sun worship.

'the sun a universal deity', a masonic text.
real scholars of wicca know that 'wicca' is far from the pagan traditions. traditions based on baal's fire. (you see the 911 CNN footage yet? - i'd really prefer a better explination of it) http://www.snopes.com/rumors/wtcface.htm

masonry is a religion - and a huge mix of them as well. neither christian nor islam can join based on their scriptures & yet the masons seem to control both - their hats seem to advocate killing infidels in the name of islam (christians in partic most say).
i've talked to a great number of masons; some lie.. some dont. a shriner actually suggested i read 'pawns in the game' ;)

I don't anymore.

When I was a teenager back in the 80's all the books written by Wiccans said it was a Stoneage religion. When I eventually figured out it was plagarized from Crowley, I was devestated.

Wicca isn't a reconstructionist movement, because there was never a religion like it before. It's a modern amalgam occult religion.

I follow wicca because it is my religion. It is what I believe in. And why would wicca be more man-made the christianity? paganism dated back before christianity. When christianity came about is when the pagans went underground because of the persecutions.
The ritual leaders, or priests and priestesses became known as "the wicca- the "wise ones". The Anglo-Saxon kings in England would never act on any important matter w/o consulting the "witan", the council of Wise Ones.
Gardner was the first to speak out to the public about wicca/pagan/witchcraft in 1954 in his book "Witchcraft Today". Even before his book was published there were still covens throughout Europe that was still practicing their beliefs. His first book that was published in 1949 was a novel. Gardner was initiated into an English coven, before he started the Gardnerian witchcraft.
In America the first Witch to stand up and be recognized was Raymond Buckland.

Every religion in this entire world is man made. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being pagan. Just because we don't believe in Jesus or any of that christian stuff. Who are you to judge what a person believes anyways? Does your God not say "Judge not lest ye be judged" yet here you are judging wiccans. I think that is what many christians are now doing. Claiming they are high and mightyer than thou, when they are showing how low they truly are. They can't get any lower. Trying to understand your perspective is giving ME a migrane

The freemason's started Mormonism to or LDS or the church of Jesus Christ of Later day Saints. Anyways, after being a Mormon, I became wiccan and the reason being...was to feel powerful. I thought the magic was in nature and I could use it at my will, but then I realized that it was satan's power and I could only use it when he wanted me to use it and I was still under the control of the rule of three, that is if the person is not worthy of the spell it comes back to me threefold. Its made up by satan, and not manmade by the way to lead man astray.

Wicca? Naw, I believe in Witchcraft. It's great! Although usually I get into a lot of trouble and my Aunt Hilda and Aunt Zelda have to bail me out!

I don't have to, I'm a real witch! I can cast spells that actually work!

Of course, my mother is always turning my mortal husband into a monkey or something or another...and my daughter once turned herself into a raisin cookie, but hey, it's never dull!

Why does anyone follow 'christianity'?

isn't it common knowledge that it's man made? is nothing like the origional? created by a bunch of people who claim to have met jesus?

~Paganism is an Earth Based religion which dates back to the BEGINNING TIME! If fact it was the ORIGINAL religion. Gardner was the first author to publicly revived the religion. When he did this he called it Wicca. Wicca is a specific branch of the ancient religion.

Next time you ask a question consider being less RUDE and JUDGMENTAL of things you don't understand. You'll get farther in life.

You ARE confused.

Wicca is one modern revival of pre-Christian European paganism. Why should it be any more or less "man-made" than any other religion? What evidence can any religion offer for its supposedly "divine" origin? What someone said? What some book says that someone wrote? Please.

All religions are human responses to the mystery.
