I think it would remind me that i'm not worthy of God, but Jesus is. It would remind me that Grace is only from the Cross, if i did this practice.

To get me focused on what im doing i say in the name of the father son and holy spirit i mean it to remind me who im talking and praying to im not comfortable approaching God like hes my baby brother

I think of the order of motions for the sign of the cross .....sometimes referred to by the catchphrase Spectacles, Testicles, Wallet and Watch

My mother taught me it means you are willing to die on the cross for Jesus. I used to have a big problem with this. I don't have a problem now, I believe it.
