I just answered a question from a woman who wants to get pregnant in the hopes her man will marry her and another from a man who wants a 'good' lie so he can spend Valentines day with his girlfriend instead of his wife. There really are worse things than being alone.
Buy yourself a candy bar in the shape of a heart, and thank God you aren't involved with them.

Celebrate yourself. Buy some decadent chocolate, rent a good movie, and enjoy yourself. Remember that you are a unique and special person, and that there is no one on earth like you. Love yourself first, and other things naturally fall into place. Valentine's Day is really just another day where card, jewelry stores, and candy makers, rake in a lot of cash. Also, they needed something to fulfill the doldrums of winter months after Christmas. I don't have a significant other either to celebrate with, but I do give my kids each a box of chocolates. It's just not a really big day in our family.

Get together with other single friends and go out! Have a nice dinner, movie, whatever floats your boat! Enjoy the day with friends. You don't need to have a special someone to celebrate the day. Besides Valentine's day isn't really a real holiday, there was a St. Valentine who murdered a whole bunch of people.. or something... I don't know. But enjoy the day with friends :) It'll be fun, I promise!

Valentine's Day can make one feel bad but you can turn it around. Make it special for you Mother, Gramma. Seniors in homes would be thrilled to have someone pay a visit. Someone in the hospital would enjoy a visit. There are many lonely people that you could put a smile on their face. Happy Valentine's Day

i've been single and lonely for every sing valentine's day of my life. guess women just don't seen interested in a guy like me.. but you know, i'm determined to make feb 14 a good day.. it has nothing to do with love, but i have had a major goal on my mind for the past 6 years.. i have been training for a long distance run and i think feb 14 is going to be my first attempt at a marathon-distanced run.. if i can do that, i will be very happy, whether i am single or not.. when i cross that finish line, it won't matter that i am single and lonely. i will have accomplished one of the most important goals of my life..

see if you can find a major goal to shoot for..

1. You can ignore it's Valentine's day and go on with your life.
2. Criticize it as a day invented by capitalist pigs (just like they ruined Christmas ) as an excuse to spend money on your loved ones.
3. It is an artificial date, with a true love you celebrate it every day! calling a day of the year Valentine's day is ridiculous.

I hope this helps!

Have a Singles Valentine's Day Party. Put up decorations. Have a bunch of friends over, play music, have munchies, some games to play, and little Valentine's favors for everyone. I bet they'll love it!

Hey welcome to the club man, I don't have anyone either. the best advice I can give to you is just try and not even think about it's valentines day and just try to act as if it's just another day,try and keep busy to take your mind off of not having anyone, hang out with your friends or maybe even buy something for a Family member or something for that day.

Consider yourself lucky that you don't have to go out and shop and spend excessive money. Sometimes you have to count your blessings for what you have and not worry about what you don't have. Treat yourself to a movie or a nice dinner. It's okay to be your own Valentine. After all, we have to love ourselves before we can love another.

Do what I do. Look at it as a free opportunity to meet someone new. Introduce yourself to someone you may have had your eye on, invite someone to dinner, take a few chances. You don't have to be down and out on v-day. You'd be surprised at the possibilities, and it could be a lot of fun.
