Its not about confessing, it is about admitting. It is not about courage, it is about honesty. You should tell that someone that you have loved that person for so long. Say it with dignity. You are as important as the one you love. Say it without expectations. Say it without making the other uncomfortable. Say it earnestly and with love. The one you love may need to know just how you feel. Too many potential relationships have gone to their graves, and beautiful children left unborn because love present was never expressed. So many joys unlived. So many lives unchanged. Remember the words of the novelist Harriett Beecher Stone -
"The saddest of tears shed over graves are for deeds left undone and words left unsaid."
If someone loved you, for even a minute, wouldn't you want to know? So go and bless that other with the truth. Does not matter what reaction you may receive. You are a beautiful person to have loved another for so long. Go, its time.

10 years is along time to hold something in. Especially that you love someone. So there is a reason why you haven't told this person, figure out what you are afraid of and just realize this person has the right to know no matter what. You can think of all the situations and then think of all the good and the bad endings BUT realize this person has the right to know how you feel and why. Just like you have the right to get it off of your chest. You might love your best friends spouse, doesn't mean your going to break them up! Just that you love them and care for there feelings be truthful it will tear you apart if you don't. It is ok to love someone and not be with that person, you might think you want to be with that person but maybe it won't work out! Maybe it will! Only the 2 of you will know!

confess, you will feel so much better when they know. And if you tell them and they dont feel the same, maybe it wasnt ever meant to be. Somethings are just not meant to be no matter how bad we want them... but tell them. I was in the same situation and only could tell the guy i love when i was drunk... it just seemed easy then but he didnt believe me. So tell really. becasue how would you feel if she loved you back but found some else because you never said anything. MAKE THE MOVE!

Well, you have to date her first or you'll be looking at someone who is really shocked and overwhelmed with what you had to tell her.
Then when the timing is right, poof!!!
Although, if she does not give you the time of day, forget her and move on...

You're not getting any younger. Just tell 'em, who knows, maybe the feeling is mutual and you both are miserable from not speaking up.

You should go find the person and tell them why would you wait so long to do it? Go tell them how you feel and you will be much happier.
