My 14-year-old has been complaining for about 2 weeks that his heel is sore and you could see a little red color, maybe the size of a pea around. This morning he noticed the area is gray, smaller than dime size, round, still sore.

Take him to the doctor immediately! It could be several things but for the sound of it, it could be a spider bite. In any case, you need to take him to the doctor to determine if he has necrosis (dead flesh)on the foot and the treatment to follow in case that is what he has.
On the link I left here go to where it says: Arachnogenic necrosis so you can compare the pictures..

Arachnogenic necrosis
Spider bites are cited as causing necrosis in some areas. These claims are widely disputed. In the US at least, only the bites of spiders in the genus Loxosceles or Brown Recluse have been proven to consistently cause necrosis. Many other spider species are claimed to cause necrosis but in most cases firm evidence is lacking. Partially this is because the early bite is often painless and the spider species cannot be identified.

Spiders proven to cause necrosis:
- Loxosceles spiders, including the brown recluse in the midwestern United States and the Chilean recluse in South America

Spiders suspected of, but not shown to cause necrosis:
-White-tailed spiders in Australia and New Zealand
-Hobo spider in northwestern USA
-Sac spider in United States and Australia

The fly chew reaction does not sound generic too me, it sounds allergic. i could get an appointment with a pediatric allergist. this could take numerous months. interior the interim save calling his pediatrician, pus sounds like an infection. i could think of that your pediatrician could prescribe an antibiotic. additionally, i could push your pediatrician to furnish you a script to your son to have labwork carried out. specifically i could choose labs to verify wbc's (the white blood cellular count sort-a extreme point could point out an infection), a CBC to verify an entire blood count sort, and the immunoglobulins surprisingly the hypersensitive reaction one IgE. If it is greater, it exhibits hypersensitive reactions. considering that this got here approximately a month in the past, that's extra probable a continual concern, and not likely that the comparable computer virus bit him lower back inflicting the comparable result. you will possibly desire to start ruling issues out and getting some solutions. it is going to additionally inform you approaches allergic a guy or woman is. My son's is extreme, we've an epipen and have had one considering that he grew to become into 365 days. He in no way had a reaction. I took him to work out a pediatric allergist simply by fact of his eczema that's hypersensitive reaction based.

Sound like a plantars wart which is very common in children. Does it have a black dot in the middle of it? I remember getting them as a child once and they eventually went away on their own for me. There is a chance that it can get infected though so it's best to take him to the doctor if it still hurts after 2 weeks.

Does he walk around barefooted? It kinda sounds like a stone bruise.

The three most common heel injuries at the bottom of the foot are stone bruises, plantar fasciitis, and heel spurs.

Take him to the doctor. It could be as simple as a Plantar Wart, or he may have been bitten by something. Does it hurt him all the time, or only when he steps on it? If it is a wart, those will only hurt when pressure is put on it. If it is something else, it will hurt constantly.

He either got bit, or stepped on something that went into his foot. You might have your doctor check it, before it gets infected.
