I just watched something on TV that talked about Proactiv. They stated that it worked because it's just a mild mixture of skin medication that you can get over the counter in stronger forms.

I used Proactiv when I was a teenager, and it really helped quickly. You just have to keep it up regularly. The lotion they provide you is pretty good without being oily. The Refining Mask, however, was terrible. I have sensitive skin that hangs in a delicate balance: it can get way too oily easily, and way too dry easily. The Refining Mask dried out my skin to the point I was actually in some pain. My main problem now is small blackheads on my nose and chin. I use the Biore Pore Refining line of products along with the "ultra" pore strips. You should really get some pore strips if you don't currently use them. They're really helpful and fun to look at when you peel them off. ;)

No..don't buy it. See a dermatologist.
Don't give jessica simpson one more penny. Rich people just get richer with that stuff, and it isn't anything special.
They go by very common principles...Use lotion or cream with no perfume, so your skin doesn't dry out. Use the mildest soap possible (baby wash works well) with no perfumes. Exfoliate once every week or two.
Anyone's acne can get better, but possibly you need an antibiotic to kill the bacteria. See the dermatologist. It is cheaper than proactiv.

I actually knew someone who used it and it definitely worked for them.
Try it - and make sure to send it back if it doesnt work (pay close attention to the details of how to get money back if it doesn't work in your case).
Good luck!

Yes! Yes! Yes! My daughter used it and it erased acne and blemishes she had had for about ten years.
