Stupid lack the mental power to comprehend, ignorance may have the brain power but doesn't have the knowledge. Many smart people are ignorant of various things.
Strange to ask a question you know the answer to, though.

Stupid, is the same as dumb, those that just don't learn. Ignorant, is when you don't know something. For example I'm ignorant in Latin, but if I took a class, & studied I could learn latin, if I were stupid, I could not learn it. I have no interest in learning latin, so on that subject, I will just stay ignorant.

Yes, I do. Stupidity indicates a person lacks the intelligence to be a good learner. Ignorance means only that a person hasn't learned something yet.

Ignorant means your not educated on a certain subject as to say i am not a mechanic so i am ignorant when it comes to repairing vehicles...stupid means you just dont' get it...its been explained a thousand times in ways that even a two year old would understand and you still don't get it.

Ignorance is simply not knowing, the absence of knowledge.
Stupid is knowing but working real hard to remain ignorant.

Stupid is permanent and unremediable. And the purveyors of stupidity tend, regrettably, to be proud of their condition: "Don't bother me with the facts. I've made up my mind."
Ignorant can be cured by exposure to information. Those who are ignorant, unless they are also stupid, tend to be willing to change their minds if they come into possession of facts that contradict their beliefs, and will profess embarassment at having upheld a belief out of ignorance.

Stupid is not having the brains to learn how to read.
Ignorant is having the brains to learn how to read, but have not been taught to read.
So stupid is illiterate without the ability to learn, where ignorant is illiterate with the ability to learn.
A simple analogy but there you have it.
So....if you know the difference, then what are you asking for?

Stupid is to do with lack of intelligence. Ignorance is related to something not learnt. E.g. Einstein was ignorant of the issues surrounding global warming (presumably because he died before the term was coined)

Stupid is a condition of mind that makes learning difficult. Ignorance is the absence of knowledge.
For example, one could be ignorant of the conventions of grammar, and yet not be stupid.
