The ghosts stay but in the form of memories and mistakes we made. So over time, they are there and we think about them from time to time but we learn and move on, but ya gotta let go at first.

No we never give up ghosts!! Every relationship is a memory. It depends how long the relationship is as to how long the memory is.I was married for 28yrs when it ended, but the memories are forever, just like my love for him still is.

it lingers ... but u got to let it go and move on and get on with life.
if u hold on to it too much and enter into a new relationship .. i think it will bring up alot of unresolved issues within yourself and also comparisons to the old relationship
