You could make ants on a log: celery stuffed with peanut butter topped with a few raisins, my kids liked them. Like everyone else said any veggies must have ranch dressing close by. You could try pin wheels: take a slice of ham and spread it with soft cream cheese, roll it up and slice it in 1/2 in. slices. I like that with pickled okra rolled up inside but I doubt the kids would.

good luck

I make veggie and meat trays for my 4 year old's class all the time. I have found that the kids do like the carrots but some like little tomatoes, celery, cucumber slices and broccoli as well. They of course need ranch dip. As far as meat goes, they love little beef sticks and ham and turkey cubes. For cheese cubes I use colby-jack and mozzerella sometimes i'll mix some grapes throughout the tray and then there's something for everyone!

I would start by looking at the sales papers and buying what deli meats and cheeses are on sale. You could probably hit a few stores for variety. Cut the cheese into strips and roll the meat up and arrange around the tray with vegi strips. Place a cup of dressing in the middle for dipping (Ranch is definitely best).

kids only like things like carrots and ranch dressing they do not like all the vegetables so make a tray with a lot of carrots and a little bit of everything else....meat..kids love meat so ham and turkey are good meats for them to eat..

If you want them to enjoy it, but not necessarily eat it, I'd suggest making little sculptures. For example, make little people out of cherry tomato heads, meat bodies, carrot arms, etc.

However, this doesn't mean that they'll eat it.

If you want them to eat, kids this age (as someone else said) like carrots and dip. They'll eat sticks of ham and turkey. They'll eat cheese cubes.

Do you want to embarrass your child? Either take a "treat" or take nothing.
