I call them episodes. I just had one, I will try to describe it. Im sitting here at the computer and all of a sudden a vision comes into my head, its like a feeling of dejavu. I see myself sitting here as I am right now in my robe as I am right now, the vision is somewhat fuzzy but I hear myself talking, I begin to feel a little dizzy, my body temp goes way up and I start to sweat. I feel paralysed by this and cant move until its over. Is it a flashback? I experimented with chemical drugs about 5 yrs ago when I was a teen. This has happened periodically for about 3 years, the first time it ever happened I was in the middle of quitting my daily pot habit, is this a withdrawl symptom? I havent smoked any yet this morning and usually find the episodes happening when I havent had any for awhile so maybe theyre related some how. Has anyone else ever had this happen? I tried explaining to the doctor but couldnt figure out the right words. I just want to know whats going on.

I exercise every day for an hour, including aerobics, weight lifting, etc. I drink only green tea with antioxidants, I dont intake any refined sugars, I eat very healthy, Im 5'4 and 120 lbs so very physically fit. Its not a physical problem, its a mental one.

Im not having hallucinations, not by any means, its like having a drem while Im awake, Im seeing the visions like a movie clip in my head, everything on the outside kind of fades into the background but doesnt disappear. And I technically am not "paralysed" Ive been able to sit down consiously while emersed in one of these episodes. I however can not induce it on demand, they happen periodically out of the blue.

You seemed to explain it pretty well in your note here. Why don't you try writing the experience down, every last detail and then giving the detailed description to your doc. He/she might better be able to understand what you are trying to say. As for having the experience myself. Can't help you there. Sorry.

It sounds like it might be a type of seizure. This is easily checked with an EEG test, or an MRI scan, provided you can get it to happen predictably, while you are taking the test. In any case you should have it checked right away, as you do not want something like this to happen while you are driving, or taking a shower, for example. You may In fact be momentarily blacking out, and what you are experiencing is just the aftereffects of the actual seizure, am I right?
Another commentor mentioned panic attacks, which also makes good sense, but the altered state and halucinations seem less likely in that case.......
Just don't go into the doctor's office thinking you already know what the problem is. Try to describe your symptoms the best that you can, and be sure to listen and to take his advice.

what kind of drugs did you experiment with? Did you use any hallucinogens? If so- you can be having flashbacks. According to Wikidepia " a "flashbacks"[is] a psychological phenomenon in which an individual experiences an episode of some of LSD's subjective effects long after the drug has worn off — sometimes weeks, months, or even years afterward. Flashbacks can incorporate both positive and negative aspects of LSD trips." Also "An LSD trip can have long term psychoemotional effects; some users cite the LSD experience as causing significant changes in their personality and life perspective."
There is no explanation as to why the flashbacks occur but they may come and go for the rest of your life. They are nothing to worry about...but you could consult a psychologist.

ok, sounds like it ould be a seizure. If you tell your doctor you are having episodes where you feel like you're out of touch etc, this is considered a change in mental status, and he should be doing blood work, and a cat scan to see if there are abnormalities of your brain. sometime a benign(not cancerous) tumor can cause this. It's probably something that can be taken care of, but you do need to insist the doctor does something. You need to be your own advocate sometimes, be persistant, and very professional. Good luck, let us know how it turns out.!

Are you getting enough water and sleep?
Is it possible you are getting sick or have a virus?
Maybe your body is ridding itself of toxins, since you've cut back on the pot smoking. How long does that feeling last? I think you need to get some serious rest, and eat a super-healthy diet for the next week at least, with plenty of anti-oxidants. How is your diet, otherwise?

It sounds like the seizures that my cousin gets...it kind of puts her in a trance for a minute and she can't move and then when she comes out of it - she shakes it off like it was a chill or something....I would get your head checked - literally. You may have a condition that needs to be diagnosed right away to prevent other, more violent, occurences from happening. Good Luck.

Well, I get panic attacks, and some of what you're describing seems pretty similar to what I experience; the sense of displacement, dizziness, sweating uncontrollably, and "freezing." It's sort of like a seizure, which is how I've described it to others. Check out the links to panic attacks, and see if that might be it.
And good luck. Panic attacks are horrid, but if that's what it is for you, don't let them keep you down.
Oh, and see a doctor, in any case, please!

a thousand million funds is a 365 days's income for efficient hedge fund supervisor, a hundred CEO's of extensive companies, 25,000 people who earn the well-known salary, and 50,000 people who stay or social risk-free practices. it is likewise the cost of one day of the conflict in Iraq and Afghanistan, 3 F22 fighter airplane, and four interchanges on an interstate highway in a rural section.

Ever done LSD? Other names for LSD include acid, trips, blotters, cheer, dots, microdots, drop, flash, hawk, L, lightning flash, liquid acid, lucy, paper mushrooms, rainbows, smilies, stars, sugar, tab, window.... Did you tell your doctor about your trying drugs in the past? It may help him make a diagnosis and understand what is going on.
