Get as far as possible from religion because religion is a limitation on our relationship with God.

The vedic scriptures speak of three things
1.Sambandha- Establish Relationship with God
2.Abhidheya-Acts on relationship, Sadhana, practice, prayers etc
3.Prayojana-Ultimate Goal, LOVE OF GOD.
This LOVE OF GOD is not material so-called love.
LOVE OF GOD is spiritual in nature.
Again, this LOVE OF GOD is divided into five primary rasas(mellows)
1.Santa-neutral
2.Dasya-servitude
3.Sakhya-fraternal
4.Vatsalya-parental
5.Madhurya-conjugal

What do you want from God? In the bible it says that just as the birds and animals he already knows what you need. He will provide if you are faithful. (Easier said than done). God is a loving Father. Just as an earthly father loves to give his children gifts, so does our heavenly Father.

To get something with the Big G? I don't really understand that comment.
I do know that by definition, the Big G is love. 1John 4:8.
Now, just because I reference one resource, doesn't mean that it isn't transferable to other beliefs, even Hindu or Buddhist. Other resources will say the same exact thing, just in different wording.

There is nothing that we can do that can make God love us more. His love was shown to us in its fullness when He sent His Son to die for us- so that we can be saved, live for Him and with Him for eternity. However, God calls us to live justly, love mercy and walk humbly with Him- Micah 6:8

prayer like the one above me said, and i think try to get a relationship with him, how to do that, umm..include him in your life not only while praying but as much as possible in everything that you do, i used to have a rich spiritual life
