Eternal rest, hmmm, do you get eternal rest when you "live forever" in heaven?

It is not in my Bible, but Catholics have an eternal rest prayer, asking for eternal rest for those who have passed away, as opposed to eternal damnation.
Not being a Catholic, I believe we cannot have any effect on the life of the deceased.
Their future is governed by the choices they made while living.

This is a contradictory statement because nothing in the universe is ever at rest. Everything vibrates in different degrees but constantly moving. Some so quickly it appears to be resting but there is no such thing as eternal rest.

Exactly, eternal rest also means an end to worry and stress, the end of the inner battle against personal sin, and the fufillment of a perfect peace.

When Jesus was here on earth, he likened death to sleep. So in death one is unconscious, as if sleeping or resting. When Adam sinned, his payment was to be death. So some people won't be resurrected to anything. An eternal rest would mean someone that would never be woken up from their death.

Nobody knows. If you live forever, its not resting. I would say the bible means, rest in your grave, dead.
