It probably will let you use the NVIDIA card.

You just need to get the updated DRIVERS for WINDOWS VISTA>..

I have an ATI card, and windows vista says its NOT COMPATABLE or IS KNOWN TO CAUSE ISSUES....

that doesnt mean I cant use the card, it just means I need to install the DRIVERS for the card from the INTERNET instead of the drivers on the cd that came with the card...

The drivers for your card on the CD are probably for Windows XP and wont be compatable with Vista...

So get the must UPDATED DRIVERS for your CARD that support VISTA from here

with the intention to apply the Aero portion of homestead windows Vista, you like a photographs card particularly than integrated photographs. Upgrading on a computing gadget is puzzling once you have offered it - Laptops are regularly limited to a undeniable actual area shrink, so inquiring for an improve on a undeniable variety isn't feasable. My suggestion is that in case you relatively need to apply the Aero portion of Vista, you may look into getting a computer (extra cost-effective and greater than a computing gadget, in basic terms no longer transportable) or a sparkling computing gadget.

Well, that's really an open ended question. It really depends on what your computer can handle, what type of card slot you are talking about.

A great place to get computer hardware is Newegg. Here is a link to their video card section. On the left you can narrow you selection.

Right now, the Geforce 8 series is tops for nvidia - but you will need an PIC-e slot to use them. If not look for at least a 256mb card for Vista.
