We don't try to convince you. We only want to believe what WE believe, and not what you believe.

I never try to convince anybody to become an atheist. I explain why I am an atheist and ask others questions in an attempt to better understand their theism.

The lack of having religious based morals determining law. A small example, many states have blue laws which should have no grounds in a legal system. Prostitution should *potentially* be legalized and controlled (medical exams, insurance, etc..)

Why should we sit back and let you guys run rampant, when we know you'll try and do it to us too. What do we get out of it, the satisfaction of knowing that maybe one peson realized the truth that religion is ridiculous and that there is no god. OH by the way what do you get out of it? A little extra pull when you get to heaven... ha wow thats gonna suck when nothing happens.

LIFE. If one values their life, one works hard to survive. Super-naturalism (Christianity, Islam, etc.) Is a direct conflict with life and survival in many ways. I am here to appeal to your mind not your emotions, thus I am a real friend. What would a real friend try to appeal too? Think about it. Your mind is your best tool of survival, to suspend it and replace your best tool with your worst, faith (imagination) is deadly.
Faith is emotion based. Fear being the emotion played upon. I think you might want to look around and change your company quick!

I don't set out with "converting" anyone, but it's not an unwelcome consequence if it happens (and it does, and I'm glad). I'm more about demolishing the tidal wave of BS regarding atheists and evolution that makes this place stink so much. What's in it for me? The extermination of ignorance. Good thing.

We don't want to convert you - most of you are too stupid to understand how we see things.
However I will as a nice person give people a chance to understand the wonders of science and the joy of rational thought if they're interested and I will not have my children taught a stupid mythology over the facts of science - ever.

Christians only try to help people because they are sucking up to god. Athiests don't believe in god and try to help educate people because they are selfless.

Every study done that looked for correlations in religion and crime has shown that the more present religion is, the more violent and the more present crime is.
By helping to cease the mythology, I'm helping to build a safer, more thoughtful society. I'm helping the world to remember that we did not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrowed it from our children.

Well, we kind of want people to live in the truth. We think it's better than fairy tales. But each to his own. Good luck to ya!
