I agree with most of you. I think that stem cells show very promising results and should be researched farther. And by the way, embrionic stem cells dont come from murdered babies. They come from embryos that have been created in excess. They have no brain, no feeling, no organs, or any other sign that would link them to what we would call a human. They are discarded anyway due to the expense of freezing them.

My mother is living proof that stem cells are life-saving. In 2004 she was diagnosed with leukemia. She went through 4 rounds of intensive chemotherapy that required her to be in a special area of a hospital for 6-10 weeks at a time. Finally she was given the choice: stem cell transplant or death. she chose the transplant. I am pleased to say she i now 1 yr & 6 months in REMISSION!
I absolutely 100% support stem cell research. My mom is living proof that STEM CELLS SAVE LIVES!!!!!
Anyone who disagrees is entirely uninformed, and probably just plain ignorant. It used to be controversial to say that the sun rotated around the earth, and women also used to not be allowed to vote and slavery was OK. People...EVOLVE!!!!!!

My opinion is this: Stem cells should be harvested from umbilical cords of delivered children, not from murdered babies. There is no reason to abort children as justification for stem cell research.
