A few years back, there were more than 9 million worldwide. although the headquarters is in Utah there are many communities throughout the world that are predominantly LDS. I used to be a mormon but i converted into the Baptist religion, alot of people worldwide are mormon believe it or not, it is mostly common though in the east and in the midwest along Utah and Idaho

I am - we have about 12 million members as of the last General Conference, in October 2006.

Most recent numbers were approximately 13 million, but that figure includes inactive members also.
