Yes.

It took you how many years to work this out?

My friend... nobody promised anyone that life is always fair.

However, if you think that life is unfair, you can either accept it as it is, or reject it. You can do something about it. Be fair to other people. Then, you create a little fairness in a sometimes unfair life.

An old man and his son were walking one day and they found a wild horse. They brought the horse home and when others found out they said "how fortunate you are" - or - "God blesses you" - or - "what good karma you have." The old man said "perhaps."

One day the old man's son went out to tame the horse and it broke through the gates and ran away. The son was injured with a very badly broken leg. When others found out they said, "how unfortunate you are" - or - "God has cursed you" - or - "you have bad karma." The old man only said "perhaps."

Shortly thereafter, the county declared war and officials were sent to gather all the able men in the land. Upon reaching the old man's home, they found his son could not fight in his condition. Later, when others found out they said "how fortunate you are" - or ETC.
The old man said, "First you all said I was fortunate, then unfortunate, and now I am fortunate again...you judge life too quickly."

While in this system, with Satan and his demons moving freely among us, absolutely, much in life is unfair for the moment. Soon God's Kingdom will crush and put an end to all the false religions, world governments and ungodly men and then, everything will be fair and just. Don't lose hope.

Oh yeah... life is unfair...
Why bad things happen to good people and good things happen to bad people?
Why there is a war and poverty? Why hatred seems stronger than love? So on...

Life is neither fair nor unfair. You have to look to humans for that.

Define "fair".

If you're asking if good and bad luck play a role in our lives, the answer is yes.
