OF COURSE! We all know men are swine, but there are two kinds, the kind that treats women like women and the kind that treats women like ladies. You just haven't met the right guy. Guys CAN always wait, most just DON'T. If it is important to you, you'll wait until you meet the right one. We all have fantasies of meeting our only dream love that will take us and keep us forever as theirs and you'll live happily ever after, and that can come true, but not without time and patience. The best thing to do is wait for a good candidate and then explain how important it is to you to wait. Say why you feel it's important and let him know your concerns. It'll allow you to keep that dialogue box open in the rest of you're relationship and may help him avoid cheating if he grows impatient, as he will be more inclined to talk to you first about his otherwise sexual frustration. I am currently dating an experienced guy and I am a virgin myself, and I've found by discussing the fact that I'm not ready and don't know when I will be, also that it's important to me that, like you, I wait until it is absolutly right with me, he is much more understanding and willing to wait because it means so much to me. He says having sex to him, is a form of showing affection, not just something to do for pleasure, which makes him okay with waiting. So it depends on the man's views on sex as well. So yes, the right guy will wait and not mind it a single bit, because if he is the one, he'd do anything for you.

could mean one of several things....
he either doesn't want to break your heart over the phone, or that he doesn't know if he wants to commit to you in a more serious way than you're already in now, or if he's in the military, maybe he isn't sure he'll ever come back. but... ummm... why did YOU give HIM a love proposal? that scares guys away. maybe you're pushing him and that's a MAJOR turn off. let HIM be the man and make the moves sweetie.

It means that he doen't want you to be with other guys, but really who wants to have to wait on someone without a commitment. I think that you should keep your option open. If he really cares about you then he will make a commitment.
