Personally I can see where you are coming from in the shut in sense. I occasionally just get sick and tired of everyone and thing and just want to sit in my house all by myself and take breather.
Heck I spent a good 9-10 mos from 2004-2005 where all the more I got out of my house was to get to work. And I didn't even interact with people there most of the time. I would just paid, get some take out or frozen foods and read books, write and think. I wasn't really scared of life though. More just sick and tired of all the a**holes and inconsiderates. I was hurt and couldn't handle all of it. Now, I can appreciate everything a lot more and have had a great chance to get to know me.

OK hopefully i can try to help you. but i am a shut in i hate out side,i hate being in crowded places and being around alto of people , I'm afraid of flying other Poles driving, a few other things bother me to but the way i deal with it is to face one of those fears a week ,and see how it goes cause i always know i have my apartment i can return to if it gets to bad for me, but i also see a psychiatrist and a councilor, with the mild dose of melds I'm on and the talking with a councilor i manage pretty good much better than i did about 6 months ago ,i have come along way. and think if you gave this a try it might make things easier on you . because there is so much a person can take before you get to scared the only thing that can happen to ya if you,r shut in all the time is the fear its self and boy can that harm ya by its self. so Pl take and get some help . no it is not good to be shut in and tucked away from the rest of the world you,r doing you,r self more harm than good . that's like asking is it OK to be a cutter or a druggie . all i can say is no its not.......sincerely Pam

That's sad. That poor thing has been completely traumatized. It's like how a little kid would act after being beaten to within an inch of his life. He would sleep with his mom and be scared all the time. I don't know what you could do. The dog obviously remembers the day because the paper certainly brings back the bad memories. Dogs dream too. She probably has doggie nightmares all the time which is awful.

Its really hard to hate everything. There must be some reason for this. If u know the reason then try to overcome ur difficulties thru the help of some experts. U can speak to ur parents as well.
Tell them what ur going thru....Pls dont shut ur self in for God's sake.

If u yourself don't know the reason then, you should go for a counseling......see a doctor & explain things to him.
Doctors can definitely help u & may be life will be much better after that. It should be coz life is wonderful.

I think a behaviorist would try to explain this by suggesting that perhaps fear is a conditioned response created by the pairing of an aversive stimulus with something that's very difficult to escape, like air, the ground, or the passing of time.

I'd encourage you to get help from a professional, but it might also be helpful to compile a list of the things you fear the most to see what they have in common. The following link may be of some value:

I wish you well in this endeavor.

Probably not the best way to live. Have you contacted a medical professional about this, or are you trying to go it alone?
My advise, seek help.. There is a cure for this.. Life is much too beautiful and much too short to waste it sitting in your home alone.
Good Luck

No. Hate is good but fear is not. Hate is good because you learn not to trust, but on the other hand you nullify your purpose or reason to live (if you have one). Fear of everything just makes it imminent that you have to surpass those fears and exceed themm. It's never good to hold an emotion against anything, and of course not eveything. If you shut yourself in you are just revealing your weakness and again your life has nothing. Expose yourself and destroy your hatred and fear, for emotions hold you back, even love, as sweet and helpful as it may be. Learn to love and not to hate, not to hold grudges, and not to fear. Hope this helped.

Why don't you call a help line from your house and explain to them that you need help, but you are afraid of everything. Many organizations will send someone to go with you to a counselor or use a Meditaxi-a taxi just for medical situations. Or, maybe a friend will go with you.

No not ok, you sound somewhat like me. Social anxiety.
Go see your Dr. There is help. I didn't realize I had this until adult hood, it can really hold you back from life if you don't get some help. Good Luck..

If you go and see a psychiatrist like some suggested, ask about trans cranial magnetic stimulation. They'll probably try meds first but if you can't take meds because of side effects then the magnetic stimulation will be very beneficial.
