Its not your lack of intelligence, Its not your smugness, and its not even the fact that you all wear graven images around your neck. The (atleast for me) IS you have a God before God. Do I even need to say his name? And dont tell me he was God. All Christains that say that lose ALL credibility with the sane.

I really respect your passion for the topic, but am an outsider to Christianity at this point in my life. Having been raised in the Catholic environment and switched to a Prodestant phase for a while, I understand your criticisms.

#1 we do not all wear graven images around our neck, i wear nothing on my neck. I have no other God before the one and only God. I am so sorry that you have these feelings. Again i point out, if you do not believe in God, the Son and the Holy Spirit then you can not know the truth. Only when you truly believe and give your life over to Him will you understand the scriptures and what they are telling you.

Christians are not smug, again you group all people who profess to believe in God.

I am a Christian and i believe my purpose here on earth is to serve God by witnessing to others so that they will not perish and die but have life everlasting.

I hope this will stir your interest and you will pick up the Bible and start reading. Even if you only do it to disprove us, and you really open your mind and heart and push satan out of the way, then you may start to understand.

Until you take time to do that, please do not put us down.

Thank you

We know why. And that's a good thing! Jesus told us "They (unbelievers) will hate you as theye hated me". A TRUE Christian does not blaspheme the Lord by wearing any graven images of pagan idolatry anywhere on their body or have anything to do with the objects of ritualistic practices that man invented in any way shape or form for that matter. A TRUE Christian who believes in the God of the Bible can not be compared with a lack of intelligence because of it, or an attitude to go with it. It must be quite painful for you to except that YOU have been spiritually blinded by the evil one and worship FALSE IDOLS. You have been DECEIVED! If you don't believe the God of the Bible, God loves you anyway. It is not your time to come in to the light of the truth. You have not been called by the Father. Only the Father knows when and who will be called. Maybe later. But you can never become a TRUE child of the REAL God, our Father, without the FAITH to understand the Word of God and accept His Son Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. That you MUST come do, or you will surely PERISH!!

I know why people despise us, and, in a way, it is a good thing.
1 Peter 4:12-19 says:

"Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. If you suffer, it should not be as a murderer or thief or any other kind of criminal, or even as a meddler. However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name. For it is time for judgment to begin with the family of God; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God? And,

"If it is hard for the righteous to be saved,
what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?"

So then, those who suffer according to God's will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good."

I expect hatred from non-christians. It is their nature.

I know why people who are not Christian appear to despise Christians. It is because of the light that exposes the darkness in their lives. Followers of Christ find the stability of truth in an unstable world. Knowing the truth results in freedom and joy that this world can not comprehend and this causes resentment acted out in hatred for those who walk by faith. The despising is nothing more than ones insecurity being exposed - by the light- and that is not a good feeling.

This is not new to a true believers (christian). Jesus once foretold that the world will hate and despise us. But he reassured us that he will be with us forever and ever.

Believers (christian) does not wear any graven images neither believed in God before God. We believed in the mediatorship of Jesus christ, for he himself says "ALL AUTHORITY IN HEAVEN AND ON EARTH HAS BEEN GIVEN UNTO ME"

The scriptures also do says that "THERE IS NO OTHER NAME GIVEN UNDER HEAVEN BY WHICH A MAN MUST BE SAVE!" It is only in the name of Jesus whom God preordained and predestined for the salvation of man.

Human may have a wonderful and excellent religion, but I am telling you that religion of Man cannot enter the kindgom of God. because Jesus says 'I am the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE, no one can enter the kindgom of God except by ME'. God did not says to Jesus to build religon on earth, God instructed Jesus to build a church for the believer to be gathered that they enter the door of God kingdom. If you enter this door you enter all door to heaven.

I would advice you to study deeply the doctrine of the believers (christian) not the doctrine of those who profess to be a christian and uses the name of God in vain.

Remember God did not says Religion is the way, the truth and the life? It is Jesus who is the way the truth and the life.

If you don't understand Christianity then I guess you don't understand. The message of Christ so simple and so laudable (i.e. peace, love, compassion, and his sacrifice on the cross as the son of God) that if you don't get it then you probably don't get oxygen or water or even life itself. And as for being despised well if trying to follow Christ’s example means that I am despised than I guess I will just have to accept that.

Peace be with you.

I have nothing around my neck. And I think you are trying to say that we are putting Jesus before God, even though God said to worship none before him. But, Jesus is God in human flesh. If you despise me for that is fine, the scriptures said you would.

Philippians 2:9-11
For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Do you have hard facts to prove that people despise Christians?
Or is it just you who despises Christians?

We, Christians believe in God and if you don't the least that you can do is respect our beliefs. I think that's the problem with us people we don't respect the beliefs of each other.

I think crusifixes look nice anyway, even if I weren't Christian, I would still think so.

Still, the world hates us because we do not conform to seecular beliefs. And I'm fine with that. If I am persecuted for what I believe in, then I see that as a falacy of the world, not my falacy.
