Birth control can make you gain weight, it is down to the synthetic hormones. They mimc natural hormones within the body and certain ones can make you gain weight I am afraid. Even if your eating healthy and going to gym. If your gaining weight quickly you will get stretch marks. Changing your diet and exercise can cause your period to come late. Some types of birth control can cause a changes in your menstrual cycle. They can delay them, or you can end up missing periods and still get pregnancy type symtoms such as swollen tender breasts/increase in breast size. If your doctor isn't going to offer you blood tests or ultrasound then maybe you will have to pay to get one done private. And if it turns out your not pregnant then maybe you should change your birth control if it is giving you these side effects.

No they are not hormones, just viatmines essential for a healthy baby.
Basically I have heard birth control can make them bigger and gaining weight. The heavier you are, the bigger your breasts will be, but then you are heavier. So try to be happy the way you are.
